Sagar Steels was established in Athgaon, Guwahati, Assam with the Vision of becoming one of the largest steel traders of North-East.
After gaining a foothold in the NE market, Sagar Steels was chosen by Tata Steel as their authorized distributor for CR Coils & Sheets.
In 2001, Sagar Steels was also awarded distributorship of Tata Steel’s GP Coils & Sheets.
Humble Beginnings: Pictures of our Godown in 2001
In collaboration with Tata Steel, we launched ‘Steelium Zones’ across North-East and conducted extensive Knowledge Sharing Sessions to promote the strength of Tata Steel’s products over competing brands.
These early efforts helped us to establish Tata Steel’s flat products as the market leaders of North-Eastern India today.
